Drafter
Hurtt Fabricating has an exciting new career opportunity and is accepting applications and resumes for drafter position(s). We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working in a hands-on, team environment.
The drafter:
Creates visual guidelines for construction purposes
Works from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects, and drafts technical details, including dimensions, materials, and procedures
Draws in minute details of structures
Uses Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings
Programs drawings into automated manufacturing systems
Prepares engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications
Works under the supervision of drafting supervisor, drafting lead and engineers or architects
Follows standardized work and adheres to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Applicants must be dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented. All applicants offered a job will be drug tested.
